Panasonic unveiled the 10-inch DMP-BV200 TV with integrated Blu-ray player today in Japan along with the DMP-HV100 10-inch digital TV.
The Panansonic DMP-BV200 has a battery pack included (DY-DB30) that gives you a maximum of about 3 hours and 30 minute for watching Blu-ray movies.
The tiny DMP-BV200 TV is even BD Live enabled (connected to the net) and the 10.1-inch LCD display has a resolution of 1024×600.

The DMP-BV200 and the DMP-HV100 will start shipping in Japan in April. If both devices will ever make to markets outside of Japan is questionable.
Earlier we reported about the Panasonic DMP-B100 portable Blu-ray player.

There's a good reason you never see Suri Cruise in jeans.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' kid is way too good for 'em.

She "hates jeans and favors dresses," a source says, revealing some surprising new details on the lavish lifestyles of Suri Cruise and other Hollywood kids.

At the tender age of 3, and 4 next month, Suri, daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, also has a penchant for heels - and pricey designer handbags.

The girl even carries around an $850 Ferragamo purse! You know what's crazier? That Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. She lives in like seven different homes!

Suri and Shiloh Update

It was a slow week over at Us, apparently.

Seriously, guys. We get it, okay? Kids of rich people have expensive stuff. Ooh. Why not cover the Jesse James cheating accusations or something more interesting?

Or at least the Jackson kids. Now there's a large, dysfunctional family that doesn't get enough coverage. Especially that little, stun-gun-toting devil Jafaar Jackson.

Plasma is the better 3D TV

Posted by thams | 6:14 AM

The first 3D TVs are hitting the shelves. Samsung and Sony are offering LED backlit LCD 3D HDTVs, while Panasonic is pushing a Plasma 3D HDTV. Despite the LCD dominance, I am still a huge fan of Plasma because of its vibrant image quality. It looks like Plasma is the better choice for the new 3D experience as well.
Consumer Reports has published a first test of 3D HDTVs comparing a 7000 LCD Samsung 3D TV with the Panasonic VT-20 3D TV.

Consumer Reports sees the Panasonic Plasma delivering a crisper 3D picture is no ghosting. Additionally you can still see the 3D image if you tilt your head. On the Samsung the image goes dark if you watch side ways with the 3D glasses. This means you have to sit straight through the whole 3D movie. I tend to shift around and lie down during movie watching at home.

No matter if Plasma or LCD, I am still the opinion that the best way to bring 3D home it with a 3D Projector. TVs are just too small to deliver an immersive 3D experience. The LG CF3D 3D Projector is on my short list, when it will become affordable. The $10k price tag is too hard to stomach right now.

The world's embattled top golfer, Tiger Woods, announced today that he's planning his golf comeback at the year's first major championship, The Masters, in April.

It will mark Woods' return to golf action for the first time since a 9-iron was wielded by his crazed wife after his many infidelities were exposed Thanksgiving eve.

Tiger announced the news on his website: "The Masters is where I won my first major, and I view this tournament with great respect. After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I'm ready to start my season at Augusta."

"The major championships have always been a special focus in my career and I think Augusta is where I need to be, even though it's been awhile since I last played."

Pumped For a Comeback

Woods has already started prepping for his return with Ari Fleischer behind the scenes, and briefly alluded to his ongoing rehab and reconciliation with Elin Woods, saying:

"I have undergone almost two months of therapy, and am continuing treatment. While I'm returning to competition, I still have a lot of work to do in my personal life."

Tiger, who did not have a return date in his recent press conference, added in today's post that it became "apparent that the Masters would be the earliest I could play."

"I called both Joe Lewis and Arnold Palmer and expressed regret for not attending the Tavistock Cup and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. I want to thank them for their support. Those are fantastic tournaments I look forward to competing in again.

In conclusion, Woods thanked the people ofThe Masters: "I would also like to thank the Augusta National members and staff. I have deep appreciation for everything that they do to create a wonderful event for the benefit of the game."

The Masters begins on April 8. We wouldn't bet against him.

Despite coming of age in an era where websites and wired fans fawn over her every move and contribute to her fame, Miley Cyrus has no love for the online world.

THG has no love for her, so it looks like we're even!

At the very least, you have to give Miley props for practicing what she preaches, having axed her Twitter to focus on being truer to herself and BF Liam Hemsworth.

But bashing the Internets in general? Watch it, girl. It's one thing to call out your critics, it's another to bite the cyber hand that feeds you, no matter your intent.

“I’m telling kids, don’t go on the internet,” Miley told Movieline. “It’s dangerous, it’s not fun, it wastes your life. You should be outside playing sports or something.”

Miley Eats It

EAT IT: That's basically Miley Cyrus' message to the World Wide Web.

“I just think it’s kind of lame. I feel like I hang out with my friends and they’re so busy taking pictures of what they’re doing and putting them on Facebook."

"They’re not really enjoying what they’re doing. You’re going to look back and have a million pictures, but you’re not actually going to be in any of them."

"Because you’re not having fun, you’re too busy clicking away. So I think just enjoy the moment you’re in, and stop telling people about it. So just enjoy it.”

Okay, we have to agree with Miley on that philosophy. It's very mature. We're impressed that a huge star can reflect and maintain that kind of perspective.

However, she's sort of insulting her fans at the same time, and there's certainly a place for everything in moderation. Click here to follow THG on Twitter!

Let's face it, when you release a new technology for the living room like 3D TV that costs lots of money it often takes a while for most consumers to upgrade. The most likely group of consumers to whip you those credit cards early are gamers. Gamers are used to spending money early on technology and NVIDIA is looking to push gamers to upgrade to 3D TVs with the introduction of its new NVIDIA 3DTV Play system.

The NVIDIA 3DTV Play system is software that will let the gamer connect a laptop or desktop computer running a 3D-ready GeForce GPU to the 3D TV in their living room for some big screen 3D gaming action. The system will require the 3DTV Play software, the GeForce GPU, a PC running Vista or Windows 7 and a HDMI 1.4 enabled 3DTV with 3D glasses like the NVIDIA 3D Vision system.

Those who already use the 3D Vision system will get the software free once it releases later this year. Presumably, the software will work with active 3D glasses that come with 3D TVs too, by NVIDIA isn't specific on that point.

Fox's hit show Glee has been off the air since December, but when it returns next month, it will make up for lost time with a tribute to the great Lady Gaga.

Creator Ryan Murphy said, "We're doing an episode as a tribute to theatricality. We reached out to Lady Gaga and she said, 'Yes, I'd love to be a part of it.'

"So yes, we will be doing Lady Gaga this season."

We can only hope for a full-length cover of her "Telephone" video, complete with ridiculous costumes and references to her alleged hermaphrodite status.

Lady Gaga in Action Live

Glee has its work cut out to do this justice!

Whether that means you'll see Lady Gaga on Glee personally is unclear, but at the very least, the show will be basing an episode around the "Bad Romance" songstress.

Last year, Gaga was the subject of an entire episode of Gossip Girl, and helped craft an "epic performance art piece" for the series. So you never know what's in store.

Madonna famously gave Glee license to cover her entire catalog, and the hit show is so sought after by aspiring singers, some American Idol vets are getting negged.

Not everyone's game, though. Coldplay and Bryan Adams said no to having their songs covered on it. Because Bryan Adams has an impeccable reputation to protect?

MANILA, Philippines -- (UPDATE 2) Seven-division champion Manny Pacquiao outpunched his defense-conscious challenger Joshua Clottey in their welterweight clash at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas to retain his World Boxing Organization (WBO) crown on Saturday (Sunday in Manila).

It was Pacquiao who scored more punches, challenging the boxer from Ghana to engage him into a brawl.

However for most part of the fight, Clottey remained in his turtle defense, throwing lesser number of punches and apparently waiting for Pacquiao to tire out.

As a result the judges saw the fight 120-108, 119-109 and 119-109, all in favor of the General Santos native.

‘In control’

In the post fight interview, Pacquiao said he felt he was in control of the fight from the first round.

He said the fact that he failed to knock out Clottey showed the challenger was a "strong fighter."

"I already controlled after the first round but I'm never [over]confident because he's looking for a good shot and I know he's strong, really strong fighter," he said.

Asked if he believes Clottey was the strongest welterweight fighter he has fought, Pacquiao said: "Yes, exactly, that's right. He's not an easy opponent. I mean, Clottey is very strong, very tough. You know, he took a lot of punches and never been hurt, you know."

'Has speed'

Meanwhile, Clottey said it took him time to adjust to Pacquiao's speed, which was the problem for him more than the champion's power punches.

"I don't feel his power too much, but I feel he has speed. That's the problem. He's fast, so I had to take my time because I don't want to open up [for punches]," he said.

Clottey said Pacquiao didn't have too much movement.

Asked if he was hurt at any point in the fight, Clottey said: "No, not really. As you see, my face, I'm fine.

Clottey said he was not affected by the big crowd at the Dallas Cowboys stadium since he's a fighter.

Asked who he would like to fight next, he said he's willing and ready to face anybody.

The victory improved Pacquiao’s record to 51 wins. It was his first successful defense of the WBO welterweight title after defeating Puerto Rican pugilist Miguel Cotto last November.

By the 9th round, Clottey’s trainer Lenny de Jesus implored the Ghanaian to take a chance, saying that Pacquiao had won every round.

Clottey tried to rally in the last 2 rounds but was clearly dominated by Pacquiao who kept punishing his challenger. Judges Levi Martinez, Nelson Vasquez and Duane Ford scored the fight 108, 119-109 and 119-109 all in favor of the pound-for-pound king.

Elections and then Mayweather?

In his interview, Pacquiao thanked the estimated 50,000 people who came to Cowboys Stadium to watch the bout. “Right now, I am so happy because the support of the fans is so unbelievable,” he said. “It is the first time that so many people came to see me fight.”

He said that he would stay in the United States for about a week to rest before going back to the Philippines to start his campaign for congressman of Sarangani province.

He also said he is willing to go back into negotiations to fight former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. Pacquiao was originally scheduled to face Mayweather in the March 13 bout until a disagreement on Olympic-style drug testing being pushed by the Mayweather camp derailed the fight.

“I want that fight because people want to see that fight,” he said.

He added, however, that he will only decide on his next bout after the May 10 elections in the Philippines.

Clottey, meanwhile, said he is willing to go back into the ring again.

“I will fight anybody and I am ready for anybody. Next time, I’ll come out big,” he said.

It's official and it's adorable: Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas are an item.

In November, Demi insisted she and the cute singer were just friends. But she spoke with Billy Bush on Access Hollywood this week and had the following conversation:

Bush: Are you dating a Jonas Brother?
Demi: Ummm, maybe.
Bush: Which one? Joe?
Demi: Yeah. He's my best friend.
Bush: So you guys went from boyfriend-girlfriend to best friends?
Demi: No, kind of the opposite.
Bush: So you're dating him now?
Demi: Yeah, he is my best friend and he is incredible.

That says it all, doesn't it? Jonas has been linked with Taylor Swift and Camilla Belle in the past. But we have a feeling this relationship will truly last.

We'll know that the future is here when consumers can go into Best Buy and see an aisle devoted to 3D TV glasses. Third-party glasses really haven't made much news yet, but Xpand hopes to change that.

Currently, all the major 3D TV manufacturers are making their own glasses, but the problem is they are all proprietary. So Samsung's glasses will only work on Samsung TVs.

PC Mag spoke with a small company called Xpand that is going to be one of the first to offer universal 3D glasses will work with any set. Most people don't recognize that name, but they are the ones who manufacture the glasses that most movie theaters use.

The X103 series will be able to detect infrared signals from virtually every 3D set. Xpand says the glasses will be marketed as a "fashion item" as they will be available in 12 colors, ranging in sizes for kids to adults.

The glasses are to be priced at between $120 and $150.
