The new movies of 2010. It doesn’t sound like a real year does it? 2010. More like something that appears on a title card at the beginning of a movie. It sounds like the future. It sounds like you need a crazy, wild-eyed old man and a flux capacitor to get there, but you don’t, all you need is patience. Unfortunately, we at Movie Moron are impatient as all get out. CONCLUSION
There wasn’t room in the top twenty for everything so some big projects are surprisingly absent. There were no votes for platformer adaptation Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, or comic book cowboy movie Jonah Hex, starring Josh Brolin and Megan Fox.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 1, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader also failed to get any support - are we suffering from long-titled kiddy-fantasy-fatigue?
Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island was pushed back to 2010 at the last minute, otherwise it would have made the list. Kick-Ass showed its hand too late for the vote.
We don’t hold out much hope for The Wolfman as it’s had terrible problems during production, but it could surprise us all in February.
And yes The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is released too, if you’re into that sort of thing.
