A Silicon Valley energy startup Bloom Energy goes public on CBS's 60 minutes (watch the segment below) with its new fuel cell technology called Bloom Box.
The Bloom Box is supposed to power your home without beeing connected to the grid. The new fuel cell technology from Bloom Energy is supposed to be clean and cost effictive to manufacture.

The Bloom Box can use various of fuels including natural gas and bio gas.
Bloom Energy actually has already customers including Google, eBay and Fedex. The company is still in stealth mode, but already has their product at high profile customers since over a year. This is pretty impressive.
The Bloom Box is real and Bloom Energy will hold a press conference this week. There are still a lot of open questions including will the Bloom Box ever be affordable for you and me.
